3 Tips for Using Billboards for Advertising

Billboard is the most cost effective type of advertising is very effective. The billboards are everywhere, and for good reason: they work! Since they are so effective, how advertisers can get the most for your money with billboards? Here are three tips to help you with your outdoor advertising.

1. Choose the best location:

In the outside world, location is everything! Choose posters that give you plenty of time to read your message.

2. Follow the Billboard design ground rules:

Billboard ads only has an average of 7/2 to do so it is our job as advertisers to project the best possible by ensuring that the copy is large enough to be read by passing motorists. Recommend to do at least two feet high and use thick, easy to read fonts. A good general rule is to use billboard 9 words or less throughout your poster! Make sure you use the right color contrast. Black on red do not work well outdoors because their is not enough contrast between the two colors. However, the black printing is very effective when placed on a yellow background.

There is nothing worse than a great ad with a small logo that makes you guess who owns the announcement leaves you with no way of knowing which product to buy.

3. Test your results to see how effective your poster is really:

Ad tracking is the best way to see how good or bad the announcement and so is the exterior. Follow the results of a billboard is not as easy as tracking online ads, but can still be done with a little creativity.

Just ask potential clients how they found. You can take in a conversation with your prospects, you can email them or even ask them in their social media sites.

Place a single telephone number or address of a website on your bulletin board so you can see how many people contact you in this way. You can then see how many of these people buy your product of service.

There are still tracking devices that can be placed on billboards to see who views your ad.
